The quartet was born in summer 2009, with the
synergy of the music association "Musicamdo" (www.musicamdo.it)
and the University of Camerino (www.unicam.it).
The members of the group are four students of the same University:

Their first performance has been on the stage of Teatro Marchetti
in Camerino (MC) in 2009 for the International Prize Massimo
In the same year the played at the first edition of the biannual
Art Exposition (exhibition) "Tutto in gioco" in Civitanova
Their repertoire is exclusively of new songs written by the
band mate (Marziali, Napolioni, Battaglia).
Since the very beginning they focus their attention to interplay
and to the pursing of a unique voice that would make them different
from the sea of jazz groups on the national ground.
Their sound ripe quickly : hard-pop, rock, Mediterranean music,
pop, Latin, avand-garde classic music, melt together to create
that special sound, so dense but rare, always fresh and new.
They obtained good recognition in different contest:
-Winners of the Contest Giovani Talenti in Jazz - Bergamo Jazz
di Treviglio, where Fabio Marziali- also won the prize as best

-Finalist at the European Jazz Contest- Saint Louis College
at Casa del Jazz, Rome, between more than 100 groups coming
from all over Europe where Fabio Marziali won the prize as "best

-Finalist at Jimmy Woods Awards - Tuscia in Jazz (2010) (www.tusciainjazz.it)
-First prize at Fara Live Music Festival 2011 - Fara in Sabina-
where they won the chance to record a cd at Tube Studio (www.tubestidio.it)
that is one of the leading recording studios in the centre of
Italy. Alberto Napolioni also won a scholarship as best soloist.
In 2010 Paolo Pietrangeli, producer of the historical Italian
record label Philology (www.philologyjazz.it),
notice them. He will produce their first record, NEW HOPE, recorded
at Teatro Marchetti of Camerino.
That record will be welcomed as a true promise from the national
critics and will mark a pivotal point in the carrier of the
In November 2011, thanks to the prize they won in Fara in Sabina,
they had the chance to record their second cd. DON'T'T BE AFRAID
will be released in July 2013.
Their producer, Enrico Moccia, invite the well known New York
guitar player Jonathan Kreisberg (www.jonathankreisberg.com)
to play on the record with them. He is one of the best jazz
guitar player of the world. Since their first meet there is
an incredible feeling and the result is astonishing.
Kreisberg himself is favourably surprised by the maturity of
the group, and of the complexity of their original compositions
considering their young ages.
Life On Mars
Band born in collaboration with electric bass player Giuseppe
Vitale, from Treviso (Italy), sharing together a passion for
latin, cuban and funky music. With them the spanish pianist
Alfie Copovi and the hungarian drummer Aron Nyiro.
In May 2013, after a ten days tour in Italy, they played in
the "Rough Diamonds" in the Bimhuis (Amsterdam), a
festival for young talents.
The repertorie is based on original compositions and standard
from the latin tradition, not to mention funky and blues tunes.
Pantora is a collective of artists, performing
jazz and poetry in Italian, Sardinian and English. This fusion
of music, words and languages combines with drawings and video
art, creating a continuum between imagination and reality.

Fabio Marziali-Marcel Liu Quartet
IThe band was born on October 2013 from the
encounter with dutch guitarist Marcel Liu, german double bassist
Hendrik Muller and dutch drummer Roald Zoekt, inside the Conservatory
They start rigt away to play gigs in jazz club's and to work
together on original compositions and arrangments of jazz standards.
